A few weeks ago, I was sitting in my garden with a warm cup of coffee in my hand, letting the first rays of sunshine shine on my face.
Suddenly – quite unexpectedly – something clicked and I understood the
*Happiness-exists- only-know-thingy*
on a new level for me:
I REALLY already have everything I need!
At that moment, a coffee in your hand, the sun on your face and the ability to perceive it. A little piece of happiness, so to speak. If I consciously string these little pearls of happiness together, then… Yes, exactly!
On top of that, I also have friends, food, a roof over my head, health, time for spiritual practice (what an incredible luxury!), a functioning mind, freedom to travel, the right to vote and a job that I created for myself. I’m pretty sure you can say the same for yourself, right?
TAKE IT IN!
Let it take full effect, WHAT you actually already have and can do.
Since then, I have been much more relaxed, no less goal-oriented and even more grateful. Everything that is yet to come is very welcome and of course there is much, much more to come. But I don’t have to fight for it, nor rush, nor push others out of the way, but I am firmly convinced that my inner abundance, my pearls of happiness, only attract more abundance and pearls of happiness. It is up to me and you to stop and notice them.
Another bonus is that we have the stamina to stick with things and enjoy them because we can do them at our own pace – because we already have everything we need to be happy.
The rest is the cherry on the cake 🍒
…and I’m 100% convinced that it’s the same for you – if only you allow yourself to feel it fully!
So, if you’ve read this far and are thinking “Yes, yes, I know everything, but it doesn’t work for me”, then I have two questions for you:
- Have you really DONE it? Not played it out in your mind, thought about it, but DONE it – sat down and fully enjoyed something, really being there.
- Is there perhaps a fear behind the notorious “not being satisfied”, “not being happy”? For a long time (and there are always times) I had an unconscious fear that I simply wouldn’t do anything, wouldn’t get anything done if I was satisfied and happy. Mutating into a couch potato, so to speak.
